Art Musings, under its sister company, After Image Publishing, launched the book titled ' Baiju Parthan- A User's Manual'. This book is a monograph that showcases Baiju’s work through the last fifteen years and gives the reader an insight into the dynamics and creation of these works. ‘Baiju Parthan: A User’s Manual’ takes the reader on a tour through the artist’s diversely populated imagination.
Written by noted art critic, theorist and poet Ranjit Hoskote, the book includes a monographic essay on the artist as well as a freewheeling conversation between artist and author. It also contains extracts from a journal written by Parthan himself that carries personal anecdotes and observations. Also included are some of his published writings. The artist hopes that the presentation of the monograph as a user’s manual will help it to be taken in a lighter vein as opposed to a serious volume on and about a contemporary artist.
